I am outraged over the fact that your victims fund will be discriminating against those gay and lesbians who lost their lives in the September 11th attack. I understand that the partners of only gay and lesbians will receive less if anything at all simply due to the fact that they were not heterosexual. I am appalled at this.... Aren't they all Americans, straight and gay alike? Were they not hero's also, those who lost their lives in the attacks? I have been with my partner for 8 years now.... longer than many "heterosexual marriages". We are domestic partners, we own a home, we are respected in our community, we "VOTE" and pay taxes.... and also donate time and money to charities. It angers me to think that your fund would view our partnership with little value simply because we are gay. I hope that you will rethink your decision. Your plans to discriminate are becomming well known and these emails will become public record in the process. I am proud to ge a Gay-American..... but also dissappointed in Americans like you!
