don't cheat heroes' partners!!!!!

I am OUTRAGED that the partners of gay and lesbian heros who died on 9/11 may not get the same benefits as the partners of straight heroes. This is a governmental declaration that the lives of homosexuals who died due to terrorism are worth less than the lives of heterosexuals. I can't believe that this kind of discrimination is occuring in the year 2002. A united nation simply cannot be such while at the same time excluding a group of their own citizens. Fetuses and illegal aliens will be receiving benefits, and rightfully so because their loved ones were unfairly taken, many while trying to assist others. I know if someone died trying to get me out of a crumbling building, I would be beyond myself with grief and guilt, but add to that their loved ones not being compensated simply due to sexual orientation???? It is unthinkable. Our fallen heroes did the right thing. Our government needs to step up and do the same.
