Federal Compensation
I wouldn't mind the deductions of Life Insurance etc., if you used my
husband's real salary and not have put a cap on earnings. You would think
the money was coming out of Mr. Feinberg's own pocket the way he is trying to
give the families as little as possible. The only people that make out are
those who never bought life insurance and did not plan for the future. These
people who made a lot of money contributed the most to Social Secuity, and
were taxed at high rates by the State and Federal Governments. Why should
there have to be a cap on salaries. It's bad enough he is only recommending
$250,000 for pain and suffering. With the deductions alot of people will
receive next to nothing so their only alternative will be to sue, which was
what the government was trying to avoid. But if you get nothing you really
have nothing to lose by suing. A little something is better than nothing.
