To whom it may concern:

I have just been informed that the terms of the
September 11 Victim Compensation Fund exclude consideration to gay and
lesbian families, their partners and/or dependents. I
am incredulous that a fund created by Congress to help
the families of those who died on September 11 would
explicitly deny assistance to those in need.
This blatant exclusion speaks volumes: intolerance,
discrimination and homophobia are never justifiable;
how shameful that these evils are now legimitized by
my government. It's wrong. It's dishonorable. It's
reprehensible.

I will close by stating that this condition will most
certainly be noted by the International Press.
The world is watching.
