Compensate gay victims and families
My husband and I are outraged that same sex families will be denied
compensation in the 9/11 disaster. We have two sons one is gay. Our gay
son is denied safe employment in 39 states. If he were in New York and
killed his partner would be denied compensation. This is not fair. Until
our son told us that he was gay we assumed that here in America both our
sons had equal rights. We hate that our tax dollars are used to
discriminate or support legislation that denies our gay son rights. We
support civil unions equal to marriage or marriage so that these kinds of
discriminations will cease.
