Sunday, March 17, 2002 12:33 AM I just wnated to write because I heard that gay/lesbian partners that passed away in the 9/11 tragedy, arent going to recieve the benefits of straight partners. And I think this is extremely tacky. A persons sexual preferance should not be the determining factor on what they should recieve. If everyone else is being compensated the same way, then gays and lesbians should not be singled out. We are supposed to support each otehr during this difficult time, not single them out just because they are not like every one else. If you treat gays and lesbians differently then others, then you havent learned anything about being an American during this tragedy. And I think it is unfair that we are being treated this way.
