I am writing to express my hope that our sympathy for victims will not cause
the government to spend billions of taxpayers' dollars to make 9/11 victims
into millionaires, which will not bring their loved ones back. Tragic deaths
occur all the time and are not turned into an equivalent of winning the
lottery for the survivors. This money would be much better spent to prevent
future terrorist attacks. Some people are trying to turn a tragedy into a
get-rich-quick strategy.
