with deep concern
I would like to express myself on the unfortunate decision of
the Victim's Compensation Committee NOT to do whatever is necessary to
ensure that ALL those whose families suffered the loss of a loved ones
in the events of September 11th. will be recognized. If the unity that
this tragedy is supposed to have highlighted is to be a reality, then
the partners of gay men and lesbian women must have equal standing, and
the fact that there are uneven practices across states simply does not
trump that requirement.
