To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing to request that you put aside society's sexual anxiety and fully
support the partners of gay and lesbian Americans who were killed in the
attacks on September 11th. I have family members and friends who are gay,
and had they been affected by the attacks, I would hope that even those other
family members of mine who think homosexuality is sin would support and
comfort them or their partners along with me. I hope as much for an agency
that wants to unite the people of America. These relationships may not be
sacred to you, but they are real and the wounds and needs are deep and real
from these attacks. Please consider these fellow citizens as family.
