Dear Director Zwick:
Regarding disbursement of monies from the September 11 Fund, I believe the Department of Justice to Department needs to include all partners, straight and gay, among relatives eligible for compensation those who lost their life partners or de facto parents or children, regardless of sexual orientation and marital status."
The awful loss of loved ones to a random terrorist act should not be compounded by our own government denying survivors whatever benefits may be available simply because we fail to have laws to protect all of our citizens. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
