I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those who died on September
11 are not automatically going to receive the same benefits as heterosexual
spouses. It makes me nearly physically sick that there are people, let
alone LAWMAKERS who will limit the benefits of victims that suffered the
same exact tragedy as thousands of other families, fetuses and illegal
aliens. People who were ILLEGALLY in the area are receiving more benefits
than perfectly law abiding American citizens whose only "fault" was being
homosexual. I am not saying that you should restrict the benefits to
families of illegal aliens, but I do believe that, if you are to honor those
who were illegally working there, you should most definitely honor ALL those
who were LEGALLY working there. Thank you.
