Victim Fund
It is unfortunate that the 9/11 Victim Fund will not be shared with our gay and
lesbian brothers and sisters. We overlook Federal immigration laws: illegal
aliens' families shall receive relief; the families will not be deported; the
companies who employed the aliens will not be charged with violation national
labor laws. However, the Direct of the Fun apparently will adhere strictly to
State laws to maintain the discrimination of gays and lesbians. I highly doubt
that Congress meant to sanction this discrimination during a national crisis;
it shocks me that the Department of Justice does.
