Sept 11 Compensation Fund
Hi,
Thank you for the opportunity for public comment on this issue.
Being one who personally witnesses this tragedy and one who lost three
friends, I am disgusted with the some of the victims families attitude
towards the government's compensation plan.
This is not something that the government planned, nor is it the fault of
anyone involved except the terroists.
When relatives of mine passed away in World War II, no one expected the
government to give them money.
The American public has generously given to many charities and yet the
victims families are looking at this situation as a cash cow for
themselves.
How about mourning and respecting the dead. Be grateful for being alive and
stop trying to look at this as some type of get rich scheme.
How about the many individuals that survived and lost there jobs they
deserve compensation too.
It is disgusting how a tragedy has turned to a grab for cash.
I hope the government stops this embrassing fiasco for the country.
