Equal Compensation for Gay Partners


I am outraged to learn that gay and lesbian partners of 9/11 victims will not receive the same compensation as other victims because their state laws may not allow it. How is it that illegial aliens can be given special consideration, but the US Government will not give the same consideration to law-abiding American citizens who happen to be gay or lesbian? Please send me a clarification of how the issue of compensation for gay and lesbian victims will be addressed.
