I know that's where my money went. To deny men and women the monetary acknowledgement that others are receiving simnply because they may not have a piece of paper showing that the state calls them "married" is full of the same bias and prejudice which fostered the crisis in the first place. If your program is truly acting out of kindness in response to the attacks, then you will make it a priority to include everyone in pain, regardless of legalities or sexual orientation.
