Gay Families
Dear Sir:
Please do the fair and nondiscriminatory thing: don't discount gay families
at this time of great tragedy. We have lost loving committed partners too.
Those directly affected deserve the same financial assistance as all the
other families of martyred loved ones. The fact that our unions are not
legally recognized is the result of ongoing and unjust discrimination that
will someday, God willing, end. Please help at this time. We are people too
and we are hurting too.
