Sad commentary

I believe the solicitation of or squabbling about compensation of the Sept 11 victim's families only cheapens the memories of all those who died. Frankly, the U.S. government and the airlines are not responsible for the madmen responsible for the acts. The need for compensation is dubious in my mind. Why should the taxpayers have to pay? The offering of the money in the first place and the subsequent bickering is a very sad statement about our litigious society.
