"If September 11 has taught us anything, it's that our
patriotism and love of country transcend our differences and
unite us all." Apparently not so to the countless gay and lesbian partners
and families left behind in the wake of this terrible assault on America.
I would like to express my anger that the same benefits that are given
automatically to heterosexual spouses are not available to gay and lesbian
partners of those who lost their lives on September 11. Discrimination is
un-American...plain and simple!
