Victim's Compensation Fund
Dear Justice Department:
I believe the amounts dispensed from this fund to cover lost wages and victims' pain and suffering should be reduced by the amount victims' families receive from pensions, insurance payments or charities. Charities received record contributions to be used for the victims and their families. This fund should take those amounts into consideration and be sure that each victim or family receive fair distribution of taxpayer money. In fact, I don't believe that there should be distributions from this fund since all the charities should properly provide for the victims and families.
Being from Oklahoma City and somewhat familiar with the dispensing of funds after the bombing, taxpayer money other than that voluntarily contributed to charities should not be used in these circumstances. That money should instead be used to help rebuild New York City.
Sincerely,
Individual Comment
Oklahoma City, OK
