Wake-Up Call
I am personally outraged that the 911 Fund would deny benefits to surviving
partners of gay men and lesbians killed in the 911 Attacks Against America.
They are victims as well and no less American. It is not a matter of
legality; it is a matter of fairness and compassion. Our loss is no less
than any other, and your efforts to relegate us to "lesser" will be
perceived as unjust in the eyes of most "real" Americans.
I truly hope this decision will be reconsidered.
