I am appalled!
I am appalled to hear that gay people are being
discriminated against in the sharing of the victim
benefits of loved ones who died on September 11th.
This is totally unacceptable. There were many gay
heroes among those who died including
and
their partners deserve to be treated equally with
everyone else.
It is bad enough that the fund is not really
distributing it equally even among other victims...and
of course we know that some of the families of illegal
aliens who died who cleaned the towers for those who
worked there will probably get nothing.
If there is going to be compensation... it should be
fair and equitable. Stop playing games...it only
proves to be divicive in the end! And if anything
should have brought people together it would be
something like this happening!
As a tax payer I demand that gay people be treated as
equal sufferers in this tragedy. Their grief is not
diminished by their status as gay people! And this
country should not treat them as less!
sincerely
