Victim compensation for 9/11 attack

I recently read that the fund established to compensate those effected so
terribly by the September 11 terror attack has decided not to honor the
relationships of the victims who had same-sex spouses.

I can't believe that the administrators of this fund are that cruel. Many of
the victims and the heroes of that awful day were gay or lesbian. It is so
sad that they would be victimized twice in this way.

It is incomprehensible to me that the generous and loving people who have so
lavishly endowed this fund would have intended it to be so meanly applied.
This is a sad state of affairs for a civilized nation.

Shame on you.
