9/11 compensation for same sex couples
I have very little to say on this subject, but what I have to say comes with
INTENSE feeling.
What right does ANYONE have, most especially our corrupt government, to
determine who makes up a "family?" It is NONE of our business whether the
two people involved are of the same sex or not. If two people are committed
to each other, they deserve ALL the same rights as a couple of opposite
sexes. It is LUDICROUS that they can't get married and share all the rights
simply based on the sex of ONE partner. The fact that they are denied
ANYTHING is ludicrous and we, as a country, should be ashamed of ourselves.
Denying compensation from an attack such as that of 9/11 is an even bigger
embarrassment. Our government officials should be hanging their head in
shame.
We are a country of DEMOCRACY. We should not shut out ANYONE based soley on
sexual orientation. After all, we allow beggers, thieves and illegals to
live here and collect money. What does that say about us as a country? At
least homosexuals work and pay taxes. For that alone they should be allowed
as many rights as anyone else.
Individual Comment
Happily married, HETRO sexual
