In this time of american patriotism, don't you think it's time to accept everyone as American...no matter who they love. As a firefighter, 9-11 struck home to me, I lost friends and family in the tradegies of that day. As a lesbian the continued hatred and oppression since has shown me that no matter how good I am at my job, I'll never be considered the same as the straight people I work with. I am still a second class citizen, although I work everyday to save the people in my community...now I ask you, is that right?
