Compensation for lesbian/gay spouses re 9/11
I cannot believe, as we mourn all of the victims of 9/11, that the lesbian and gay spouses will not be recognized and compensated as other spouses, children, etc, will. This is 2002, friends, and lesbians and gays right to love and be recognized should not even be questioned. Please explain why this travesty should be allowed to happen. The millions of lesbian and gay Americans are waiting to hear from you. Please do not allow this denial of benefits to worsen the terrible sense of loss in my sisters and brothers after the tragedy struck them so deeply. Please do the right thing.
