Saturday, March 16, 2002 5:34 PM Exclusion of Gay and Lesbians from 9/11 Fund I am writing to express my outrage over the decision to exclude gay men and lesbian's survivors from the 9/11 fund... yet you will pay out to illegal aliens and unborn fetuses. I would hope that 9/11 would teach us that all of us are equal. Even John McCain recognized that may have saved his life. My partner and I support each other, we cannot legally marry. But we would if allowed. We have executed all the necessary documents to see that the other one inherits what we have amassed together. Yet under the 9/11 fund terms, had one of us perished that day, the other would not receive a dime in compensation because our state does not recognize same sex relationships. Is this fair? NO.
