Tuesday, November 06, 2001 1:03 PM Reduce federal funds donations by amt families accept from charities Sir/Madam, I work for a charity (New York City Rescue Mission) which is trying to find appropriate families to provide with monetary contributions, as designated by those who made donations to us. It is challenging for us to find families who we feel will warrant this money, knowing that they may receive much from the governmental and other funds. I believe that families should receive funds from the federal fund, REDUCED by the amount they accept from charities. Many families lose loved ones through tragedies such as fires and murders, and I think some of the money should be used to help those people who are suffering...not just those families affected by the September 11th attacks.
