Survivor benefits
I have just finished reading an article by at the website "U.S. Politics: Current Events" indicating that gay partners of 9/11 victims will not be eligible for survivor benefits from the 9/11 Fund. As someone who donated money to this fund, and as a patriot, I strongly object to this form of discrimination. I'm hoping that was misinformed. We must not descend to the level of the Taliban and others who are our declared enemies. We must uphold the principles of freedom and equality for all that is the foundation of American democracy. Please do not discriminate against any survivors.
