Compensation for partners of all victims

Dear Mr. Zwick,
As an American taxpayer, I would like a voice in how my taxes are going to be used to help other Americans who are surviving victims of terrorism. I would like surviving partners of gay and lesbian victims to be compensated as well as surviving joint children.

I have two children of my own, and I know how difficult it would be for me emotionally and financially should my husband die. There would be nothing to be done for the emotional pain, but financial help would relieve some of the stress and anxiety. I would like all Americans who have been victimized by terrorists to receive public funds. That should be the American way.
