Saturday, March 16, 2002 8:50 PM Reimbursement 911 I am writing because I have heard that the partners of gay and lesbians who died in the 911 accidents are not going to be compensated as heterosexual couples are and even illegal aliens and their fetus's. I find this an inexcusable breach. These people should be compensated in the same way. They all died and the grief and pain is just as real no matter what the sexual orientation. It is time we stopped treating people differently because of the fact that they are not all the same. I find this lack of caring and compassion extremely unamerican. Everyone should be treated just the same. Some of the gays and lesbians showed exceptional heroism on that day. There should be no difference.
