9/11 and Gays

Dear Whom it May Concern,
I think that the policies held toward those vicitims of 9/11 that just
happened to be gay are absolutely outrageous. Espcially considering the
great lengths the United Sates government is taking to include everyone else
in the victims benefits. Even illegeal aliens are allowed to recieve money,
but not the grieving spouse of a same-sex relationship? Their love and
personal committment is valued less because of WHO they love? How can a
government that was founded on liberty and equality be so very biased as to
neglect it's citizens in this manner. We all suffered from 9/11, we have
all felt the pain, is it fair to say that those who lost a homosexual
partner feel less, or were loved less? This is the chance for America to
stand up and say, "No one is less important than anyone else, no victim is
unnoticed, American, Japanese, or Afghan; Black, Yellow, or White;
Homosexual or Heterosexual." And we're letting this chance pass us by,
wondering why so many are hurt everyday by discrimination. I am truly
angered that our government as chosen to take such a painful experience to
continue the abuse homosexuals have suffered at the hands of the
governments, naively, I expected more of us all.

Sincerely,

Individual Comment
