She began working at the age of 66 as a necessity and worked there until September 11 at the age of 72. She was present and on the premises at the time of the tragedy and, by the grace of God, escaped. She did not seek immediate medical attention because at the time she was terrified and seemed physically unhurt. Within a few days after the tragedy, she started experiencing shortness of breath, a hacking cough, mental, emotional disturbances, trouble sleeping and depression. At her age, she can not find another job. She is no longer able to pay her rent, her bills, etc. without handouts. When my father died he had no life insurance. Are you telling me a senior citizen with no other means, in relatively poor health, unemployable, must wait until the government "figures out" what to do to help her because she didn't seek the help within 24 hours of the tragedy?
