Zwick, Director I am saddened and ASHAMED that gays and lesbians are once again being treated as 3rd class citizens in our country. This hurts me as a human being, a citizen and a teacher. We are all Americans and all deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, especially during such a tragedy as the 9/11 bombings. I am ashamed of my country in our treatment of gays and lesbians. Other countries, especially in Europe have granted full human rights to gays and lesbians. Why does it take so long for our country to treat everyone fairly? WHY? I urge all AMERICANS to stand for liberty and justice for ALL.
