victims and partners/family of victims of 9/11

Dear Mr. Zwick,
I understand you are accepting comments regarding the compensation fund for
victims of the September 11th attack. I would like to voice my concern for
acknowledgment of gay and lesbian partners of the victims. Please recognize
the significance of their position, and their importance in the lives of the
victims.

There is no legal standard for partners of gay and lesbian Americans, and
often, the significance of these couples is simply not considered when
tragedy strikes. Please include among relatives eligible for compensation
those who lost their life partners or de facto parents or children,
regardless of sexual orientation or marital status.
