People who have had committed partners for tens of years - - people who have paid their taxes - - people who have largely contributed to our society are being denied fair and legal compensation because of downright bigotry. I am astounded that illegal aliens - people who have not paid taxes into this system - are covered; yet long-term tax paying partners of gay people are not covered. Your decision disgusts me....it is an insult to hard-working americans gay or straight. Moreover it is an insult to the very foundation and flag of this country. Shame on all of you!
