I'm a Public Health Graduate Student. I have a 4.0
GPA. I just happen to be gay and have a boyfriend of
one and a half years. I want to work for the CDC to
protect my country's people against disease. I just
happen to be gay. Enough already with the
discrimination! I don't want special rights, I want
equal rights! If the gay and lesbian loved ones of
victims of 9/11 aren't compensated as equally as the
straight ones, there will be a lot of unhappy people.
Choose your decisions based on what you feel inside
your heart and your mind, what you know is right, not
what people tell you and want you to believe. How
many gay heros will have to die defending our country
before we will be given the same rights as the
breeders? To ever achieve the society we strive for,
and the world we would like to live in, we have to
love and treat each person the same. Shouldn't we
start in our own country?
