I've recently been informed that gay and lesbian partners of those who died
on September 11th will not be receiving the same benefits (from the Victim
Compensation Fund ) as heterosexual spouses . I am at a loss to understand
why. These partners are no different than heterosexual partners and should
be treated equally. Who makes these decisions? Whoever they may be, I think
it's time that they stop trying to please the narrow minded people of this
world and treat all people equally.
