Dear Friends,
'I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those
who died on September 11 are not automatically going to
receive the same benefits as heterosexual spouses.'

I was hoping that the horror of Sept. 11 might have taught us that
patriotism, love of country and matters of spirit might unite us as a people
transcending whatever other differences might exist.

I therefore urge your reconsideration of your current stand re this
situation.
