Benefits denied to gay partners
To whom it may concern:
I have heard a disturbing item about the benefits
being paid to the Sept. 11th victims' families.
Specifically, the gay victims.
I thought I should drop you a quick note to let you
know that I disagree with the policy to deny benefits
to the domestic partners of the gay heroes of this
American tragedy.
I am a straight woman. One of my striaght male
friends died on the United flight in
Pennsylvania...right alongside . If my
friend's wife is entitled to benefits, then so should
partner (if he had one) or the partner of any
other gay man or lesbian who died that day.
Having heard that benefits will be given to persons
who were in this country ILLEGALLY, but not to
homosexuals is apalling!
I ask that you rethink this deplorable policy. It is
hateful and unfair.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
