It offends me to think that the September 11 fund extends even to those vistims who were in our country illegally, but not to one of the great heroes of Flight 93. was gay. He was PERSONALLY responsible for protecting our government from Al Queda. But the fact that he was gay means that he gets treated like less of a citizen then people who are not even citizens of this country. Appalling. I contributed money to the Sept. 11 fund through the United Way via the Fandango Fund. I was proud at the time to do so, hoping that it would bring some assistance to those in need. Now it seems that lifestyle, rather than need controls who gets the money. I would have been better served giving my money to the ACLU. From now on, that's who is getting my dime. I also thought that the events of Sept 11 did much to bring our country together. Thanks for adding to the fragmentation. Religious zealots and their social dictates do not belong in the US Governement.
