Compensation for same sex partners
I was deeply saddened as well as angered to find that same sex partners may
not be receiving the same financial benefits as other "partners" involved in
the tragic loss of lives at the World Trade Center. As a gay peace officer
in NY I work hard to help all people and expect my government to do likewise.
It is a sad day when we risk our lives for others and are still treated as
second class citizens. Please reconsider and allow partners of same sex
couples to receive the same benefits as everyone else involved.
