Funds dispersal

I believe that most Americans feel that all each life lost in the WTC attacks was equally precious and valuable, and I would like to see the funds dispersed equally, minus insurance (but not pension) payments.

This was a tragic but unanticipated event--much like the KC bombing or any accident. I do not feel that those who were financially better off merit lifelong support for the lifestyle to which they had become accustomed any more than the families of others killed in similar events. Inequal distribution unfairly disadvantages the families of the younger worker who may have just begun a career, the lower-level employee who may yet have risen above his or her station, and those lower paid workers who were closer to retirement age. It advantages those who were fortunate enough to have put money away, invested well, paid off their house, etc.

Please deduct insurance payments over a reasonable amount and divide the funds equally. It is the only fair way.
