It is nice to know that there is a real person on the other end of this note, who cares. I read in USATODAY that congress is likely to pass a bill which allows for a larger estate tax exclusion for the victim's families. We are all VERY grateful for that recognition. In our case there were credit card benefits which were mandated by the insurance company to be paid to the estate of both our parents. This caused us to be exposed to estate taxes. Normally, we would of had the benefits paid to a beneficiary directly avoiding these taxes. However, this estate planning issue was missed in my parents estate planning process. These things are so rare that it was just overlooked. So we are glad that congress is recognizing this. Additionally, You may want to realize that by reducing our benefit under the "Fund" by the amount our parents had in their estate or was received by insurance would only force us to go another direction in compensating our family for the loss we had. Thereby defeating the main role of the fund i.e. creating a system to expediate the legal process and get this whole thing behind our nation. I extend my thoughts to you openly.
