I am writing this to urge you to reconsider your decision to not consider
gay and lesbian victims of the Sept. 11 horror in the same manner as
heterosexual victims. Specifically, your stated decision to not provide
benefits to the committed partners of gay and lesbian victims is horribly
insulting and highly unjust. All were/are victims. Please do not send the
message that gays and lesbians who lay their lives down for their country
are any less worthy than any others.
