Tuesday, January 08, 2002 12:43 PM Victim Compensation I guess given that there are literally 10's of thousands of people killed inadvertently and suddenly each year and the government does not go in and provide this kind of compensation nor do I think they should. This catastrophe is horrible, no one will deny, but look at deaths from auto accidents, tornados, earth quakes, hurricanes, etc. I the WTC's had come down as a result of a natural disaster the government wouldn't have paid this compensation. I take care of mine as everyone should. If they don't then that's the way it is and they have to make do as best they can. I'm sorry if this doesn't fit in your little charitable view of life but it is reality.
