Dear Mr. Zwick:

As the Department of Justice determines how assistance will be
distributed to victims and survivors of the victims of the September 11
attacks, please remember that gays and lesbians - and their partners and
children - are no less devastated by loss, sorrow, horror, and grief
than anyone else. They may, in fact, have even fewer opportunities for
financial assistance because of the laws which sometimes impede their
collection of insurance or other benefits. Please take this opportunity
to provide relief to ALL the victims of these unthinkable events.
Please do not allow anyone's politics or social agenda to prevent
aid going to all those who need it.
