9-11 Fund Fairness and Non-Discrimination

To 9-11 Fund Administrators;



I am a heterosexual white male who works within what used to be the World
Trade Center. I am saddened and deeply troubled to learn that gay and
lesbian partners of those who perished in the attacks will not automatically
receive the same benefits as heterosexual spouses. I am not a "gay
activist", but I DO believe in equal protection under the law and basic
fairness without prejudice. It would be an un-American outrage to victimize
the families and partners of people who died at the World Trade Center based
on their sexual orientation. We are not the Taliban. This fund should act
in non-descriminatory compassionate manner. Please honor the memory of ALL
who died by doing the right thing. We must stand TOGETHER.
