Zwick, Director Office of Management Programs U.S. Department of Justice I write to ask that you keep in mind all people who were effected by the September 11th tragedy, including the surviving partners of gay men and lesbians who were in committed relationships. These people need the support and assistance that is being offered to married heterosexual couples from all the support programs being put into place. I understand NYC is offering their support to all people regardless of their sexual orientation. If a gay or lesbian couple were involved in a relationship, living together, sharing their life, living space , and expenses then they whould be offered the same support if they lost a partner. Please follow this example and do not make this tragedy any worse for those already sufffering.
