Tuesday, March 19, 2002 10:09 AM Gays and Lesbians discriminated against by 9/11 fund To whom it may concern; I, as an American citizen am completely appalled at the Attorney General and 9/11 funds discrimination against American citizens, while allowing those who are in the country illegally to collect benifits. Unfortunately, I am not at all surprised. Although every national poll has shown that a clear majority of American citizens believe that homosexuals deserve the same rights as every other American citizen; the conservative right-wing branch of the Republican party has used the marginalization of gay people as a rallying cry for too many years to stop it now. They even marginalized Barry Goldwater in his later years because he felt that gays as American citizens should have the same rights as eveybody else. I believe that every person who contributed to the 9/11 fund who does not agree with the Feinberg ruling on homosexuals should immediately file suit against the US government to get their contribution back.
