Gay and Lesbian Patriots
I am saddened and disappointed to hear that despite the unparalleled
patriotism shown by ALL the people involved in the September 11th tragedy,
and the losses experienced by so many, that only the families and loved ones
of our "straight" brothers and sisters are being recognized. How much more
does our government want to add to this already heartbreaking event for
those gay men and lesbians who lost loved ones by terror on that horrible
day? The devastation of that day will live forever with those who lost
someone, gay and straight alike, and how sad that our own government will
add to that with discrimination.Individual Comment
